DENSO led a high-octane presentation at Automechanika Frankfurt, with the launch of its innovative e-Videns tool in Europe, celebrity guests, and a fully interactive stand in Europe impressed show-goers.

The leading Aftermarket supplier led a packed program across the five-day event, as the industry gathered for the world’s largest trade fair, which sees over 100,000 visitors from across the world bi-annually.

The main talking point was the launch of DENSO’s e-Videns platform in Europe. Recently rolled-out in the UK, e-Videns is a unique and proactive vehicle inspection tool that increases workshop efficiency and transparency.

The tool includes a live engine health check, unique to DENSO Aftermarket, comparing live data from a running engine with reference data stored in the cloud to highlighting abnormalities. The tool was on show next to a car display on the main stage.

DENSO also had an array of interactive digital content for show-goers to view at its stand, including a screen featuring a 3D car and a ‘world first’ timeline displaying leading DENSO innovations such as the QR code and its Common Rail System.

A fully interactive RFID screen was also on display, giving customers the chance to explore DENSO’s range of Compressors, Lambda Sensors, Rotating Parts and Spark Plugs up close.

DENSO’s experienced Aftermarket European sales team, product specialists and technical experts were on hand throughout the event to guide visitors through DENSO’s Aftermarket catalogue and to explain the workings of DENSO’s latest innovations.

On the final day DENSO treated show-goers to a pair of celebrity guests. Mike Conway, a DENSO-sponsored Toyota GAZOO Racing driver who was a member of the winning Le Mans 24 Hours team, was present at the booth and on-hand to talk about his extensive experiences as a professional driver, as well as treating visitors to a set of signing sessions.

Renowned TV mechanic Edd China, creator of the ‘Fastest mobile bed’, the ‘Fastest toilet’ and the ‘Fastest garden shed’, was also present at the booth to talk to show-goers.

Fatiha Laauich, Marketing Communications Manager at DENSO, commented: “Automechanika Frankfurt continues to present an invaluable chance to meet our customers from across the world, and we were delighted to welcome so many to our stand and introduce them to our product line-up.

“Whether it’s presenting our new vehicle inspection tool which helps garages remain efficient and transparent or the latest stop/start technology components to keep driving green, Automechanika brings with it an opportunity to showcase the many ways in which we’re working to improve the aftermarket.”
